After 20+ years of skateboarding, the surfing bug finally bit me hard. Did hours and hours of online research about good beginner boards and spots around Cambria, which led me to Wavelengths.

I popped into the shop over the hectic 4th of July weekend with the goal of walking out with a suit and a board. Was greeted immediately upon entering and approached within a minute or two by a super friendly employee, who found me the perfect wetsuit for the cold Cambria water. He went on break, and another great employee tapped on to help me dial in the fit.

Once back from break, the first employee helped me pick out a sick 8’ Torq board, installed fins and a leash for me, and loaded me up with free wax. Start to finish, the team at Wavelengths were engaged, eager to help, and just stoked to get me surfing—no judgment or weird vibes at all, which you can certainly find in lots of skate shops out there.

While I’ve got some work to do on my timing and form (see photo…), I’m loving my setup and am completely confident in my gear. Thanks Wavelengths crew!

I was waiting for a specific surfboard for four months (thanks a lot COVID!). Trevor was kind enough to respond to my emails and let me know when a couple similar boards finally arrived from the distributor. He offered to hold three boards for me for a few days until I could come in to see them. Despite being an aspiring beginner, he was willing to listen to what I was hoping to get from a board and use his experience & knowledge to recommend the best option based on what was available. The service and support was great and I look forward to giving them my business going forward!

We stopped here for the access to handicapped parking and decided to go inside the outlet side. We are 76 and on a long western USA trip. This was day 70. I was looking for stickers for our car top carrier. We were treated like we were buying two surf boards and wet suits. We also went to your shop across the parking lot. Same treatment!!! We have made infinite stops along our way. We want to make sure you know you have a wonderful staff Thanks for a positive memory (I bought 2 stickers and you put in two more —- thank you ——Shaka)

After shopping this shop for over 15 years, I can honestly say they have the best and extensive inventory for my surfing needs. The best shop on the central coast. Thanks again John.

Here is to the entire crew, but mainly to Trever, Tosh and John, order not relevant. I have purchased 3 boards along with leashes, bags, and suits. There customer service was phenomenal, answering any and all questions I had. They all took individual quality time to educate me on product and the whole surfing experience. I am a new comer to the sport and with there time invested in me, I feel I have excelled faster than I would have without there knowledge.
