I have been using this store since 2008 and over that time it seems the choice in store has steadily decreased. Originally there was a good selection of interesting and more exotic foodstuffs alongside the staples, this has steadily diminished. This has reached the stage where this large supermarket does not even stock all the items you would expect to find in the "local" or "metro" size stores, this weeks shock being cottage cheese - checked with staff and was told they stopped stocking this 2-3 weeks ago. As I can't even rely and staple foodstuffs being available then shopping out of Lockerbie at alternative supermarkets is becoming my weekly norm.

We when to the Lockerbie common riding for the first time and we were a bit early for everything, after we had been shopping. So after having a look around we need the toilets. And then when to the city centre.

Shocking behaviour from the staff tonight here. Got told at half 5 they were not allowing people in with trolleys due to "getting folk through the tills faster" yet only reason I needed a trolley was I had a sore back and had a few heavy items to get so had to fit it in a lousy basket and stand and wait for the "speedy" checkout staff waited longer in the cue than I would have been myself using the self scan and the hand held device. So inappropriate for someone who's been shopping at tesco longer than the staff that told me I couldn't enter with a trolley. Yet there was about 5 or 6 stocking the 1 Isle ?management must be a push over there as you'd never see that in any other store. Anyways happy new year Tesco Lockerbie but I'll no be back ?

This review is solely for the lovely staff at this location.

I was traveling to Lockerbie with two family members and on our way back to Edinburgh we had some car trouble and pulled into the lot at Tesco. We had a flight to catch and being from New York City we felt a bit stranded not knowing the area and resources.

The staff at the customer service center were so very helpful. They immediately started looking up local car service companies that could assist us, checked time of local trains that we could take and the security guard even tried to assist us finding a taxi. They truly went above and beyond for a couple travelers they’d never met before.

So I just wanted to say thank you so very much to all the staff members from my family and I today. So sorry I didn’t catch your names but you are very much appreciated ❤️
