A&M Comics and Books was the very first comic store I ever visited. I must have been eight or nine, on a trip to Miami to see my grandparents, aunt, and cousins. It's the city's oldest comic shop at over 50 years old.

This place is so old school, you pretty much need a degree in archeology to find anything. I had a blast looking through the boxes for some silver age Detective comics on my list. I also happened to find a Deadman Mego figure and the Golden Age Doctor Fate Archives I've been wanting to find in the wild for a while.

The sales help was fantastic. I don't know how they keep track of everything, but they do. Friendly guys. I'm not sure when I'll get back, but I would recommend making the trip for any comic book fans traveling south.

Drove about 50 mins to get here but it was totally worth the trek. A&M Comics & Books literally has something for everybody. Upon entering I was greeted promptly by Ruben asking if I needed any help. Trust me if they have it he will find it for you. I also met George who is extremely helpful and very friendly. I spent almost 2 hours here and only got through about half of what they had going on. It's literally a comic book, collector, movie, nerdy enthusiast's dream. Highly recommend. I will definitely be back.

If you are a Comic book fan or collector and are ever in Miami, or in Florida, I highly recommend to go visit this Comic book store. Not only is it the oldest Comic book store in Florida, in my personal opinion it is definitely the best one in all of Florida. That is because of its combination of history, multiple rare items, and great service that as a whole is very important and interesting to a customer. And I truly appreciated it as a collector. The gentleman there was very helpful in guiding me to some specific comics that I had really wanted for my collection and he knew exactly where everything was. He was also kind enough to show me some of the store's historic items which was truly intriguing. Was truly worth the buy.

George and Ruben are amazing. They really know their stuff and are super helpful. I wish my town had a shop like this. Lots to dig through and many great treasures. If you’re looking for comics or associated paraphernalia, this is your place. I’ll stop by every time I’m in Miami.

I visited the store for my first time today after searching for a comic book shop that was close to me after the closest one I had in coral gables closed down.

I was greeted by Rubin upon entry who told me If I needed help with anything to let him know, which was a plus because after browsing through the store ( more on that later) I came across the secret avengers graphic novels and he helped me figure out the difference between the two different secret avengers titles. I was pleasantly surprised to find out they had graphic novels from both my favorite video game series, Army of two, and my favorite TV show as a a teenager buffy the vampire Slayer, as well bloodshot my favorite comic from the valiant universe and ghost rider a favorite of mine since I was a child. They had a great selection of graphic novels In alphabetical order.

However, the praises end there. I was browsing for single issues and I had difficulty with them as there was so many ( which is no fault to the stores inventory) that you would have difficulty pulling them out without bending, creasing, or possibly outright ripping them in the process, hence why I was looking mainly at their graphic novels.

The problem I had was with the pricing. Which was, odd to say the least. After finding the items I wanted, Rubin directed me to the owner, who assisted me with my purchase. When I handed the owner the items, he proceed to go to eBay and look for prices for the two graphic novels, scrolled for values and never told me the prices for them which I thought was very strange because they already have an MSRP value on them so why a need to look up graphic novel values/ prices on eBay when , so I was a little off put by that, then looked at the single issues and then told me either 42 or 48 $ total ( I don't remember which price) which then jumped to 52 when he saw my card ( which is fine because I know some businesses charge a small fee for card purchases, no big deal).

What I didn't like was the need for eBay checking and then not telling me how much each graphic novel cost until after he possibly found the price he was looking for, I couldn't search for single issues unless I wanted to risk possibly bending, creasing or damaging the book, and the receipt, which doesn't even say what you bought ( small issue of mine, but could be a big deal to some people) other than the price.

Overall it's a decent shop if you know what it is your looking for, but for me as a first time customer it was a surprise experience. Not bad , but not good either. I will be back again in the future after scouting for other local shops as I did love their graphic novel selection.

It's been... what like almost 20 years that I've been visiting this comic hub?!? This guys have it all, Good God! If you are an avid collector- do yourself a favor and visit this place and take a large bottle of water and perhaps a damp handkerchief to wipe off your fingerprints because you're going to be going down memory lane on a helluva inventory of comics, figures and the like. Very knowledgeable staff that you can easily strike a conversation with. Comics and Figures are fairly priced as well, believe it or not. It's a blast from the past in that vessel of fictitious lore.

Plan ahead because you're going to spend extra time in there, Trust me. Happy Hunting.

Made my first perchase today & this place is awesome. The boss is a super down to earth person, so is the employee .. Right off the bat got into a conversation and you can tell this is definitely a passion. Always good to see small business owners doing what they definitely love. Will absolutely make it a habit to swing by say hello and grow the collection . Great job guys

If you are a comic book fan this is your store ! Think big bang theory stewart kind of store but more grunge?

Had a quick look and whilst I am not a fan or even reader I can appreciate the vast collection available here and eaves dropping on another customers conversation the staff seem to know their stuff.
