It was so nice to walk to when I lived downtown. Great quiet location and interesting area. The store has good sales prices, but high-average regular prices. Their selection is surprisingly vast considering the limited available space. It is a great place to go to try out new or different drinks. The staff has always been very friendly and accommodating, even if I arrive during their smoke break and interrupt it (I promise I didn’t try to schedule that, it just kept happening! Thanks for always having a smile anyhow.) Staff recommendations have also been a lot of fun to experiment with. They don’t necessarily go “above and beyond” in their service, but instead have provided consistently good and respectful service every time I have visited. Better pricing is the only thing missing, but their pricing is generally competitive for Medicine Hat.
Now that it’s a drive, I don’t get to go as often, but that makes it more of a treat.

Smaller store so selection is necessarily limited, but decent selection and prices. I was offered a sample of some Pina Colada Bailey's and found a delightful blueberry and vanilla beer to try. Nice to have such a good store nearby, will be back again.

I do not recommend this liquor store. they are right around the corner from me and it is very convenient to go there instead of Gold Star downtown. but it is no longer worth it for the convenience because not too long ago, they raised the price of a 26er of Windsor (whiskey) to over 26$ and Gold Star sells them for $21. literally $5 more expensive. then they raised it again because they were always selling out. it got to over $30 for a 26er of Windsor and a bottle of pop when before it was $26. I went there on a regular basis because I like the regular staff. but the owner keeps raising prices for no reason. After he raised it that high I told the lady who works there that I would no longer be shopping there because of the price hike. she told her boss, he lowered the price again. still more expensive than Gold Star but only by like $1.10. they ran out this week by Tues or Wed and today they got a new shipment, price went up again from the lowered price of 22.06$ to 23.22$ so the price of alcohol has not been raised but the owner of this liquor store and southwest is raising the prices for no reason other than its popular and wants to make more money. also, this store constantly runs out of everything. from pop to whiskey to beer. I have been a loyal customer for over 7 years but it has gotten ridiculous there. but I do have to say, Sue and Erica are amazing. they are the only reason I've been going there for so long. but from this day forward, I will be shopping at Gold Star.

VERY rude service EVERY. SINGLE. TIME. Disappointing because it’s only a block away from where I live. It WAS nice to walk but I will drive to the other end of the city for GREAT SERVICE.

Best spirits store in medicine hat! The lady Susan who manages it is absolutely wonderful! I love it there! Beautiful store too!
