I called to make an appointment for my mom to see Dr. Di Lella and the office staff was extremely rude and not helpful. My mom went in to the ER and had a fracture in her foot and because her insurance wasn't good enough, they were rude and wouldn't accommodate her. We asked about self-pay because we have done this in the past and Dr.'s will work with you and give a cash discount. Again, not very friendly and said " it's not her fault my mom has terrible insurance".
At that point we had enough of the office staffs abuse and decided to look elsewhere. Just because someone has "poor peoples" insurance doesn't mean that they don't deserve the courtesy of being talked to nice. It also doesn't mean they don't have the money to self-pay. They deserve the same assistance as anyone else.
I don't know if Dr. Di Lella is a good or bad ortho but I would do yourself a favor and find a different office where the friendliness starts as soon as you walk in the door!
