Dr. Werner is the most caring and personable Dr. I've ever met. He removed my big toe due to an infection. He will make you feel comfortable from the time he walks through the door at his practice and the process. I can not stress enough what a wonderful man he is. Please ask for him specifically and you won't regret it.

Dr Werner I met at hugley hospital. My foot had been infected almost a year..I had infection in blood at that point. Foot was dying. I was a terrible patient from fear. I refused first surgery to remove toes. Dr warner came in at 7pm said my name said he has been studying my mri and I have to make decision it has to be done or I will lose my whole leg. After almost a month of back n forth with all kinds of Dr's them trying to help the I infection in blood. Just his demeanor, his caring spirit my attitude changed. I did surgery. He came in said it went well and I made the right decision the infection was moving up my foot thru a tendon. He saved my life, my leg, and he did a surgery where foot was nice to look at not mangled. The compassion this man had for me, my life, the love he has for the Lord shines all over him, his spirit, his office, his staff. As for me it made all the difference in my decisions, my attitude, my overall well being in my recovery. He gave me the hope and let me know he will always take care of me for any future issues my diabetes tries to do to my feet. Thanks Dr Werner you'll always be a light unto my heart. God is well pleased never doubt it. Your definitely my champion.

Went for disabling foot pain. Dr.Werner took care of it in one visit. This may be unusual but I don’t care. He is on my permanent Dr. list! Thank you Dr. Werner!

Dr. Werner is one of the most attentive Doctors I have ever seen! He truly seems to care. I have never felt unheard, or rushed out. With patience, he answered ever questions and took the time to give answers that are not over my head! I needed to have surgery, and prior to the surgery His bed side manner is also fantastic. He asked to pray over the surgery prior to going in, which I absolutely love. His staff is also very attentive and quick to respond to my million questions through the Healow app, and responds with care and respect.

My son had his ingrown toe nails fixed here. The doctor was great and everything went smooth. He was nice, and funny too. Between my 9 year old son and him, everyone in the room was cracking up during the procedure, mostly because of my son but the doctor was attentive and supportive. He explained that it will all be worth it in the end which was settling. We chose this practice because of the reviews and I’m happy with the results. I’m writing this review months later. My son hasn’t had any ingrown toe nails since and I don’t expect him to ever again. Definitely worth it considering the pain he was in on a somewhat regular basis.

As a diabetic, I just assumed I would have trouble with my feet/toes and eventually lose one or both- but after one visit with Dr. Werner my expectations have changed & outlook more positive. He repaired my ingrown toenails, & gave me info on taking care of myself including compression socks & what shoes to get which are more supportive. I would highly recommend him - he makes u feel comfortable & the staff at Lone Star Orthopedic are awesome.

He doesn't get your hopes set high as he tells you exactly what could or couldn't happen. He makes me feel at ease and with the bad experiences I have endured with another podiatrist, it was hard to trust Dr. Werner.....but he has my trust completely.
Update Oct 12, 2022: Dr. Werner just straightened two of my toes and finished lowering the #5 toes on each foot that another podiatrist in another state mangled in a hammertoe procedure 15 years ago.
For ALL he has done to get my toes fixed and able to walk on them with NO PAIN, I am forever grateful. And he has a wonderful staff.

Dr Werner is a fantastic physician and surgeon. He was very thorough in treating my foot pain trying several remedies (PT, injections) before resulting with surgery. He prayed over me before operating and I am tremendously happy to report I no longer suffer from debilitating pain. Yes, the wait takes awhile, as it does with a good doctor. I recommend him without hesitation.
