I can not say enough good about Dr. Ramos. Dr. Ramos went above and beyond to make the last moments of my 20 year old dog as good as possible.
Unfortunately, I cannot say enough bad about Dr. Princyl. He and Dr. Ramos have polar opposite values and practices. He cared more about his weekend than my cat. His care plan was for me to follow up with emergency vet services when she crashes over the long weekend. Beware of this veterinarian!
It's been approximately 18 hours since her appointment and I've already had to call the emergency services twice just to get all the information and instructions I needed to administer the medications he prescribed. (He didn't even bother to give dosage frequency for one and didn't send everything we needed to be able to administer another.)
That was also the very first vet appointment that I've ever experienced where there was an ongoing health concern and the veterinarian didn't mention booking a follow up appointment. Either he expected her to have to be handled by emergency services or he just sent her home to die without a care. Despite paying hundreds of dollars for diagnostics, he provided a vague thought on which body part might be bothering her and no real care or value to my cat or her quality of life. He didn't even bother sending any pain control home when his hypothesis means that her laboured breathing is because of pain. (He didn't do anything for her breathing issues, just a bit of other symptom management.) He made no lifestyle change recommendations when his hypothesis means there are several we could make that would be helpful to her. I had to do my own research to learn how to care for a cat with those issues. Legitimate healthcare providers don't make their patients have to learn how to deal with their health conditions from the internet.
It feels like he sent my cat home for us to helplessly sit vigil and then have to scramble to get (and afford) her care while she's in crisis instead of doing anything to make the last moments of my 19 year old cat as pain-free and peaceful as possible.
Edit: I just learned from a different clinic that Dr. Ramos no longer practices at this clinic. They said she wasn't there "right now," and never communicated that left or that my animals would be seeing a different doctor until the appointment itself.
You mean the conversation on Saturday where you didn't identify yourself properly and as a result had me apologizing to you since, to my understanding in that call, you had no authority over the vet? That wasn't a conversation that clarified anything. You dropped the ball hard and almost killed my cat.
