This Gelson's has the friendliest staff! Yes, it can be a bit pricier that some other markets, but it is well worth it for quality and service. The meat department and deli counter staff are always helpful. The produce is excellent, though personally I would like a bit more organic options. My favorite thing about this location is the dining area/bar. It has become a great neighborhood stop for a light & bright experience. The small menu has choices for everyone and I can alway count on trying a new wine or beer.

I was here a few days ago and was waiting for a few people so I said let me have some Soup...
So I tried their Clam chowder then Cheese and broccoli. And both were very delicious. Its a must try if you are there. And always they have friendly staff and the store is clean

During my visit to Gelson's on Laurel Canyon and Riverside in Valley Village, CA, I was impressed by the store's cleanliness and how well-stocked it was. The shelves were neatly organized, making it easy to find what I needed.

The checkout process was smooth and convenient, with minimal wait times and friendly staff.

However, the prices were SHOCKINGLY HIGH, making it difficult to justify purchasing many items then or during future visits.

Despite the positive aspects, the cost of products significantly overshadowed my overall experience, leaving me hesitant to shop there regularly due to the excessive pricing.

This is only regarding their bakery: we noticed the sizes and quality of their bakery items since a month ago have gone down. For the same prize, the cream puff is now smaller and the éclair is smaller and no longer have raspberry fillings. I don't think they're worth the price.

Pretty good market. Has the stuff I need at decent prices. I have serious problems with the prices of their produce though. However despite that, they have some of the best fresh produce around and some things I havent seen anywhere else. They got some pretty great ready made meals options likes salads, soups, indian dishes, sandwiches and even burgers crabcakes and pizza! All freshly prepared in their kitchen right in front of you. Literally you can watch them make and prepare food and package it.
