We visited with our LARGE puppy after a not-great experience with another vet in Saint John. The staff and doctor at Kannon were wonderful! They took their time to address our concerns and more importantly they took their time (and lots of care) to set our pup up for successful vet visits in the future. They are fantastic. They have been our vet for a long time. They took care of our Fundy when he got sick. Today our 19 year old cat Pugsley passed away peacefully laying on the couch. We took him in to them. They were very compassionate to our loss. They had all his history on file. We know our boy is in good hands. They are taking care of the creamtion and all the details. They gave us time to say our good byes. I would strongly recommend them if you are in need of a veterinarian.

I have had MANY animals as a part of my family for my entire life, from hamsters to horses and everything in between. Consequently, I have dealt with a LOT of veterinary clinics and staff over the years.

They are mostly polite, efficient and pleasant people who are very competent at their jobs.

However, I cannot say that about Dr. Gehrig and the staff of Kannon Animal Hospital…

…I mean, technically, it’s true… but I can’t say it because it does not even begin to describe these amazing humans. To a person, the entire staff is more like family to us. They not only understand how much we love our furry family members, but we can see how much THEY care about them, too!

As for Dr. G, she is amazing!! Not only is she incredibly knowledgeable and intuitive with regard to diagnostics and treatment, but she is always on the cutting edge of her profession, keeping up with the latest treatment options and always giving us a well-informed choice!

To Dr. G and the staff… We love and appreciate you, folks! We and our fur babies are so very lucky to have you! The only downside is that now there is NO WAY we can retire to Costa Rica… unless, of course, you all come with… 😉

Last year they removed two ticks from my dog, no questions asked. They told her to bring her in at any time and they could quickly do it. She was a calm and very good girl. No issues. When today I noticed she had one, I called and asked to bring her in. They told me no, not unless I was going to get her a rabies and distemperment vaccine. I would have had her muzzled anyways. Are you kidding me? I told them I was just going to call another vet, as I know this isn't a requirement to do such a thing, and I have been to two other vets in the past for this exact issue and they have never requested this. I called literally every other vet in town and all of them said with no hesitation, "Sure, bring her in! The lady at the front desk can quickly do it for you!"
