This farm shop is by far one of the best!
The butcher and deli counter are amazing. The pork chops and steaks are delicious. The range of meat and quality really is impressive. The packaged meals to cook at home are always in a good deal. They are adventurous and take the hard work out of cooking for you.
Coming from Glasgow, we stock our freezer bags to the brim on visits to the in-laws. Highlight of our trip is a visit to this shop.

The cafe/ restaurant is an absolute joke. Staff can't be bothered with anything. Slowest service ever.

But gets worse. Sent my mum there for her birthday meal since she was in lodges nearby. And they were doing Sunday roast. Her and her partner ordered food. After a while they asked about food. Nothing. Staff kept walking past them. Customers were leaving as at this point they were waiting so long everyone was leaving. One guy asked them what they are waiting on? They said their food. And he goes: you won't be getting any food.

They put in an order waited almost an hour just to be rudely told they aren't getting any food because clearly some incompetent waiter didn't put the order through. But the staff weren't apologetic about it. They were straight up rude. Absolute joke.

Staff in farm shop were lovely on tills. Person on meat station was coughing their lungs out so that was a bit of a put off. Shouldn't work around fresh food ill.

The tattooed boy in the snack van outside is an absolute legend never seen someone work so quickly and so well before in my life. He's definitely the saving grace of that place. Wish we just ate from the van instead of having breakfast in the cafe. It wasn't even nice and the food at the van looked so amazing.

Unfortunately the restaurant/ cafe is the biggest let down ever. Never had such a bad customer service before. And absolutely raging about my mum's birthday meal.
Avoid that place for food!

I can honestly say it's taken me sometime to find a seafood merchant ,I hand on heart do never need to look more,even down to the salad is absolutely delicious that I can say without a doubt ,you will never be disappointed it's honestly so tasty well portioned above all well packaged it arrives without a single issue thank you guys am over the moon ?

A very friendly place to visit and shop , staff are really helpful and informative . Haven't eaten in the restaurant but I'm assured by friends it's really good , the selection of meats and cheeses are excellent ( especially the steak ) the stir frys are my go to selection every time I visit , absolutely spot on . I do have one criticism tho and that's its a nightmare trying to keep my wife away from the chocolate counter with its artisan collection ( and price ) . Overall kilnford farm is a great place to treat yourself to a little something special

Stopped off for breakfast on our way home. Had the Beltie Breakfast, which was so tasty. We enjoyed it so much we bought something for dinner from the farm shop. Staff were very friendly. We will definitely visit again next time we're in the area.

Great farm shop; looks small on the outside but there are more adjoining buildings behind! Two parking lots; one on site, second one across the road. Shows you how busy this place can get! Once inside, there are tons of things to buy! Good selection of cheeses, meats (cooked and raw), fruits, vegetables, jams, relishes, wines, biscuits, sweets etc. There is also a florist here and you can buy greeting cards, gifts, souvenirs too. There's a restaurant for those wanting fresh hot/cold food/drinks. Toilet facilities available too. Items are a bit on the pricey side but the quality certainly is there! Staff are friendly and helpful. All in all, a great visit and certainly spent quite a bit of the lovely stuff here.

The variety of quality food is superb ,an outstanding farm shop in the area . The cafe is a must for lunch or afternoon tea and there is an outside burger van

Enjoyed it.
We went in for a lunch one Friday and had Cajun Halloumi Wrap and Fish & Chips (pictured). Both were delicious, but especially the wrap. I thoroughly recommend it. Fish and chips were on specials board and I didn't see it on the main menu, so it could only be a Friday thing?
The staff were working very hard as the place was very busy (people queuing, waiting for the tables kind of busy), but still were smiling, stopped for a chat, and even gave my wife a quick tour of the restaurant.
The only thing I would personally like to see improved are the acoustics of the main sitting area. I don't know why it is (maybe it's the sloping ceiling) but it was very loud in there and it was difficult at times to hear what the person across the table was saying. Maybe some soft furnishings draped across the ceiling would help?
Anyhow, we did enjoy our lunch and will definitely be back.
