This location can be hit and miss. I had a great chicken sandwich a couple days ago. Today it was just okay and had runny mayo. And it wasn't even a little bit either. It was too much and pretty disgusting. It was the weirdest thing to experience. And it was on both of the chicken sandwiches so it wasn't just one by accident. I stopped ordering the fries here because those are even more hit and miss. They have good shakes though when it is their standard flavors and they remember to give you the straw.

I'm a fan of the simple, unfrilly, and relatively inexpensive offerings of P. Terry's. I've come to this location a handful of times and have always been satisfied by the quality. The fries are delicious and hot. The patties are thin, but good. The shakes are thick. The burgers are quite customizable. All good things. This last time I went, I ordered a lettuce wrap. Ordinarily, I'll get a single patty, but this time I wanted some more protein. I'm not a fan of American cheese, so I didn't want the double cheeseburger, so I asked for a double burger. The burger stand employees happily complied.

However, the pricing here is inconsistent, and as a principle, I find this unacceptable. (In the most lighthearted of ways, but also seriously.) The single hamburger costs 2.85. The single cheeseburger costs 3.45. By this reckoning, P. Terry's is valuing the price of cheese at 60 cents. The double cheeseburger costs 4.85. I asked for a double hamburger and they charged me the 2.85 for the burger plus 2.05 for extra meat. This comes to 4.90. This is obviously not an insane amount to pay for a burger, but that is not my point. My point is that a double hamburger somehow costs 5 cents more than a double cheeseburger, when the cheeseburger comes with more, namely two slices of cheese. Which, according to the difference in price between a single hamburger and a single cheeseburger, should be valued at 1.20. This means that a double burger should be 3.65. Tbh, I don't care how much you charge for cheese, I just have a problem with inconsistency in pricing, and that a double burger without cheese somehow costs more than a double burger with cheese.
I rest my case.

I love P. Terry’s! Great quality food for a great price and kind employees. I was inspired to write this review after going through the drive thru this morning and noticed the song “don’t worry, be happy” playing from a few camouflaged speakers on my way to the pickup window. I just thought that was such a nice, unexpected touch : )

We used to eat here regularly but on a recent visit became ill with food poisoning. I addressed this through their contact form and received a response citing their policy on food preparation temperatures. They didn’t address the lack of cleanliness I mentioned that likely contributed to the contamination or even sympathize with my young kid and friend getting violently ill. We will never return. Mighty Fine and Hopdoddy are much better.

Although I appreciate their need to defend their business and restate that they don't believe me, I give 0 stars for empathy in their communication skills. I don't think they had a bad batch of food. They keep missing that I think we got ill from someone contaminating the food or from the unclean facility.

edit: update - their fries are much improved. (just this location? everywhere? not sure.) Avoided P. Terry's for the longest time because I didn't want a sopping pile of greasy shredded potato in a soaked paper fold - and was pleasantly surprised to find that wasn't the case in this visit.

P.Terry’s is the only place where I like to get shakes, my favorite one is Oreo shake. Today I visit this location, asked for Oreo shake as usual, they give me Vanilla shake and just put some Oreo on top (which I tried to blend but it didn’t help because the taste of Oreo was missing). I went back and told them my complain, the lady who took my order (Sandra) tells me “ I only made the Oreo shake, so I know it’s good”…. Please make sure you improve the costumer service in this location. I didn’t argue because I was not going to lose my time. I went to the other location in Round Rock just now, here is where I usually go, and I got what I was expecting. Here’s the picture so that you can compare. The one they give here is the vanilla one. I blended both of the shakes so that you can see the difference.

First time trying P.Terry's. I see them from the highway throughout the area. Mostly a drive through, however, they do have a walk up window to order from. Tried a cheeseburger combo. Value seems excellent. Food quality was good. I enjoyed the fries, though, it did take a few before I realised this. They're handcut, not overly salted. The burger was definitely better than a typical fast food burger. The lettuce and tomato were ok, lettuce was white, tomato was not fully ripe, but the sauce was good.

I think design wise, this place is a hit. I enjoy the 1950's, space age look they go for. Makes it stand out regardless of the location. I'll definitely try them again.
