Multiple vets at the same location ignored warning signs of cancer in our dog, even when directly asked if it could be cancer. We stated we were willing to do whatever tests necessary, even if overkill. We paid for many tests and returned many times.

We took our dog to the Emerg Vet for a second opinion and were told that there was "so much cancer it was inoperable." She had to be put down the next day.

We, recently and relcutantly, returned with our new pup for her initial vaccines since other clinics arent accepting new clients. I write this review as I stand in the room for my 2:00 appointment. The vet is 30 minutes late.

Go somewhere else.

There are no words to describe how wonderful the Saint John Animal Hospital team have been for Maudie and myself. Marge, Nancy, Dr. Corey Britt and most especially Dr. Chantel DeMerchant. Appointments were timely, I received check up phone calls many times, I was listened to and supported. We recently said good bye to our furbaby and the experience was treated with total compassion and caring. I cannot thank them all enough.

I just went to register my dog and I was so disappointed they refused it, as on the website says that they do. Plus the prices are way higher than other places. Never go there again. She didn't even look at me when was talking to me and her eyes were going all over the place...she clearly didn't want to be helpful even she didn't provide a location where I can do the registration! So no money no info. Very nice, I will tell around to not to go this location!

I had Dr.DeMerchant 18 years...my experience was she was all about the money! My dog suffered awaiting calls back from her for 2 days before the July long weekend and so I had to rush him to the emergency animal hospital for his final resting place.😢I went to her even though she was expensive because when my dog was a puppy, I always wanted him to have the same vet for sick days or needles etc...or for the day he'd unfortunately pass so he wouldn't be scared being in a strange place and I'd feel comfortable mourning his loss. That didn't happen because of her. It cost 1,000 at the emergency vet and thankfully their compassion and gentle care made his passing easier. They sent a card a couple of days later with his nose and paw prints on it🥹💔❤️ Calls were made to Dr. DeMerchant after his death about her unprofessionalism.🥺 A month and a half later, I recieved a card with everyone BUT HER SIGNATURE or name on his 'sorry for your loss card' after 18 years of caring for him!! Never did get that call from Her!! Please, think twice when you pick her name...💔other than her...very nice staff there!

brought my 7yr old chocolate lab to this locations twice, our initial appointment was great the DOCTOR was kind, thorough and patient, and so was the reception staff. our most recent visit for a booster shot however was quite the opposite - to my surprise upon arrival we were not scheduled with the/a doctor, and thus did not receive an exam to ensure good health prior to the booster - which is my first experience with this in my 18 years of being a dog owner - instead we were scheduled with a tech named amanda lawrence who joined us at the front desk/waiting area and administered the booster shot without warning (thankfully i do not have a reactive dog, however i am still astonished she did not even so much as ask for me to hold my dogs head). as i had anticipated to see a doctor i had some questions prepped regarding my dogs health, but amanda was dismissive and ensured i understood that my questions were well out of her area of expertise and she was unable to answer. this was a disappointing and frustrating visit to the elast, the 'procedure' itself was rude, unprofessional and VERY poorly executed, and i am extremely discouraged to return myself or recommend their services to anyone else.

Buddha loves visiting his friends at the Saint John Animal Hospital for the past 10 years! Momma doesn't love the bills, but he is worth it. Always on time, friendly and helpful

We booked in to talk about teeth and testes and for vaccines. We left with no oral exam and no vaccines.

I don’t recommend Dr. Dan for large breed dogs… The vet seemed scared of our 7-month old Boerboel pup.

Dogs have boundaries but, the vet seemed unable to read our pup’s body language and pushed those boundaries.

We were asked to muzzle our pup (and are grateful for the patience and kindness we were shown by Dr. Dan when we asked to introduce the muzzle slowly with R+). We were then sent home with tranquilizers after a quick exam of our pup’s testes.

We had a good experience with reception and staff, the clinic is clean. But, this is not the vet for your large breed fur-baby.

We took our pup a few days later to Kannon Animal Hospital and had a very different experience under similar circumstances. We left with everything we needed without resorting to muzzling and tranquilizing our PUPPY!

I've never seen a more graceful team maintain their composure in the face of such a high pressure atmosphere. That place is off-the-hook busy, but it's because of how awesome they are. Super kind and hardworking ladies run that establishment like clockwork.
