Staff are always super nice and friendly even know me by name, and my usual order. Do they know everything about every animal? No but they are willing to look it up, ask other staff or send to another store for products they don't carry. I do wish they carried more at this store but Sussex and Fredericton stores make for a good road trip.

Had to stop at this store twice. Once to ask about antibiotics and explained the symptoms I was worried about- they proceeded to tell me that my chickens probably have bird flu and I’ll need to cull the whole flock. They did not, they are healthy and well now. Only one of them was ill and had an ear infection from bot flys laying eggs in her ear- Sussex coop helped me with this.

Second time was to get my usual feed today because I didn’t have time to go to Sussex feeds n needs. I asked for mineral crumble for my goats, when I counted the feed bags in my trunk I noticed it wasn’t on the receipt so I went back to the front to ask for mineral crumble. Was told that I received the crumble already, and I said no I received the feed crumble not the mineral crumble. I have a buck, need to supplement minerals for him too. Then was told I shouldn’t be feeding feed crumble to my buck or I’d cause crystals. He proceeded to look it up online, telling me that I can’t give mineral crumble to my buck either and he owned goats so he knows this. I said nothing because I already knew that. At this point I was biting my tongue and saying nothing- all goats need minerals. Dairy goat feed is for dairy goats only, but bucks also should have some supplement of grain to provide a well rounded diet. Irregardless I only needed to know if they stocked minerals or not. I asked once again if they stocked the mineral crumble and they finally said no, they stopped carrying it because of not enough demand. Asked if I wanted to get a salt block instead and I said no and left.

Staff needs to be more experienced with animal husbandry and perhaps a little more humble and courteous to their patrons… Will be sticking to going to Feeds n needs in Sussex.

The older lady there is soooooo rude! Ill be going to sussex, just so I dont have to deal with her again. If you dont believe me, go in and say hello to her. I will guarantee shes not pleasant!

I've been in the feed and farming industry for 15 years and never had this bad of service. I usually go to Sussex Co-op but have had to stop here in an emergency a few times now. Every question is met with an "are you stupid" attitude and you are treated like you're wasting their time even with a purchase. The one guy who put my feed in the vehicle was super nice. In my experience poor service is a reflection of management/ ownership. I would offer to pick stuff up in Sussex, when I go, for others who enjoy being treated like a person...

Love the store, and all the options they have, would give a five star review, except for the older lady that works the cash, I find her very rude, and looks like she does not want to be there, And by the looks of the other reviews, other people have a problems with certain employees in there too, There’s reviews with the exact same problem I have the lady is really rude, I think the owner needs to start checking into this before, It starts hurting their business.

The staff was uncooperative when I asked them to bring me the horse grain bags so I could check the food label description (Also, they did not allow me to enter the storage room to examine the label food and see what was included inside the grain bag due to the store policy. It is crazy, isn't it?) I've had no problem entering the storage room to examine at other stores in the past. This is the first time they've blocked me out or refuse to show the display, which is frustrating. I had a poor experience and decided not to buy anything.

The rule #1 of any business is to always consider the customers to be right, but unfortunately, they failed to understand this basic principle. I'm wondering what they are hiding from me by not showing the horse grain display. This act of refusal is definitely raising suspicions.

All feed products were of good quality, no mold, weights good, very little cross mixing.

The whole place was well laid out.

Very clean.

Good selection of seeds, Basic articles for Raising chickens and others.

Staff were quick to answer questions with a common sense explanation, several have homestead farms.
If they did not know they were very quick to find out.

Sales people were Knowledgeable, polite and efficient.

Stocking and Loading technicians were polite and accommodating.
Speaking for myself, our vehicle or any product has never been damaged due to loading by these people.

They will completely load up your vehicle for you and do it the way you want it.
They are polite but firm when it comes to customers getting too close to the fork lift while in operation.

I feel slightly uncomfortable saying this but to maintain the integrity of the review I must.

After many visits, the only negative thing I encountered is one person working there, who should not be dealing with the public.
90% of the time, grouchy and impatient, no smile, takes the fun right out of it.

I will probably regret this, but, so be it.

Love this place. Great people, very helpful as have what you need in stock,if by chances they don't they will order it for you. We buy a lot of pig feed,dog food and dog treats. My pitty loves his beef jerky once a week when we pick up hog feed. Only down side is the cat they allow run through the store,my man is highly allergic to cats like I'm sure others are as well. Makes it difficult for him,he normally waits till no one is in there and goes straight in to buy and pay to get out quickly.
