Prices seem reasonable. Large selection of toys. Friendly employees, you are greeted as you walk in. They do have a large selection of bikes for all sizes as well.

Le Jouet: My Favorite Toy Store Ever

Le Jouet in New Orleans has been my go-to toy store forever. We used to shop here for our kids, and now we’re buying for the grandkids. It’s just one of those places that feels like home—and the kind of local shop you want to support.

Yesterday, I went in to get a scooter for my 2-year-old grandson. A scooter! At 2! But this amazing guy working there explained how they’re actually easier to handle than a bike. He walked me through all the options—foldable vs. not, wheels that light up (of course I said yes), colors, you name it. He was so helpful, and I left feeling like I got exactly the right thing for my grandson. Try getting that kind of attention at Target or Walmart.

Then this super sweet woman helped me pick out two awesome Christmas gifts for Trombone Shorty’s Toys for Tunes. She knew exactly what I was looking for, and I loved what she suggested. While I was at it, I grabbed a few other Christmas gifts, and they even wrapped them for me. Seriously, they’ll wrap anything you want.

Le Jouet has everything—toys for toddlers, games for big kids, and so much more. No matter who you’re shopping for, you’ll find something great. Plus, it’s just a fun, friendly place to shop. Best shopping experience ever, hands down. If you’re in New Orleans, skip the big stores and go to Le Jouet. You’ll be so glad you did!

This store has all of the amazing and fun toys for little kids and big kids . We bought a trivial pursuit game, a pot holder maker and a harmonica for us to play when we are at the bay .Favorite place to buy kids presents and toys in old metairie. We had fun talking to the owner today ?.I love how they wrap the presents . ?.

This children's toy store hides an awesome secret - one of the most knowledgeable and well-provisioned bike shops I have encountered in the area. They have an awesome & varied knowledge of older bike frames and components, almost every tool to do the job, make sure to ask for Buddy, a veteran mechanic and real nice guy (perhaps the owner of the whole shop?)

Just came in to purchase a bike for my husband. Staff so helpful and pleasant! Get selection of bikes and bike accessories! Was able to try a couple of different bike outside. The gentleman that helped us was very knowledgeable! I definitely recommend anyone who is looking to purchase a bike to come here!❤️

It great having this kind of place around town. With the big toy store gone now, I’m happy to see that this place is still around. Perhaps it’s because of their great service. I brought my old bike in for some service and repair. The technician was very helpful and professional. When the quote came in at more than the bike was worth, he worked with me on an affordable solution. I’ll gladly be back!

These guys are great! If you need weird bike spokes made these are your guys! I also appreciate their extensive collection of large and affordable lego base plates.
